Top 5 Moving Tips

  • Clean out desks and Nightstands: if you have a lot of small items in drawers you may want to store them in a separate ziplock bag as drawers can be turned sideways at times
  • Remove shelves from bookcase: put them next to the piece and put the shelf pins in an envelope or ziplock bag.
  • If possible personally carry pictures and plants: Plants are living and can go into shock and avoid any possible accidents to personal pictures by carrying them personally.
  • Remove Mirrors and glass surfaces from furniture: Sometimes dressers and tables have a detachable glass or mirrors. Take the time to remove these so they can be packed separately
  • Label Boxes: Label boxes correctly according to what's in them, if its fragile, and what room it belongs in

Other Tips

  • Mattress bags are a good investment to protect beds from getting dirty or wet.
  • We can also provide shrink-wrapping.
  • Don’t forget to safely store the hardware.
  • Our movers will break down beds if you want to avoid the heavy lifting.
  • Remove shades and bulbs, and wrap the cords.
  • We’ll put unwrapped lamps into moving pads.

Items we can’t move

  • By law, we aren’t allowed to handle flammable liquids, propane bottles, gas and aerosol cans and oxygen bottles.
  • We’d prefer you personally take care of items of monetary or sentimental value, including jewelry, trophies, and stamp and coin collections.
